SHIPPING AND FREIGHT INFORMATION
Freak Sports Australia (“FSA”) uses a variety of shipping carries for all our shipping and logistics solutions. When you purchase from us, you are given the best and most competitive price from the most preferred transport carriers for your convenience and delivered to your door by offering our FREE* delivery service for small and large goods.
We have improved our dispatch times to offer the SAME DAY DISPATCH for all orders (item must be in stock) placed before 2pm same day during Monday to Friday. We will also always endeavor to send out as many orders as possible even if they are after our cut off time. We have also improved our delivery times and reliability of delivery as all our small item are shipped via Australia Post eParcel and Express parcel and larger bulky goods are shipped with Hunter Express.
Whilst we believe that our service is bullet proof, please ensure that you have provided us with the following information in order for us to facilitate a fast and reliable services:
- Valid contact number – We or our delivery partner may need to contact you regarding your order
- Valid email address – we will use this email to update you with tracking number of your order and communicate any status changes or delays with you regarding your order to you via email as our preferred option.
- Correct address to avoid delay of your delivery
- If you are receiving goods at home, please ensure someone is there to sign the consignment note – you will receive email with the tracking number.
- If you are not going to be home, we highly advise you to have your parcel sent to your work address or other suitable daytime delivery address to ensure that someone is available to accept the delivery.
If you have any concerns with your delivery, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will attempt to solve any problems.
DISPATCH & DELIVERY TIMES
We endeavour to deliver you your products as soon as possible to ensure your experience with us is nothing but fantastic. We appreciate your business and will always give extra value as a gesture of this appreciation.
To calculate a shipping price simply add items to your cart then update your postcode and suburb in the shipping calculator on the cart or checkout pages.
Orders and deliveries are processed Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Deliveries are made between 8:00am – 5pm Monday to Friday. We currently do not have a weekend delivery service.
We will endeavour to provide the most up-to-date information for your order or contact you if circumstances change. A team member will contact you via your phone number as listed in your contact details. Please ensure your contact details are up to date. If a team member has not contacted you by the expected delivery date, please contact our Customer Service on 1300 4 FREAK (373 25).
TRACKING YOUR ORDER
If you have placed an order with us online, you will be emailed a link with tracking details once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse. If your order contains any large/bulky items, you will be emailed separately with a consignment note number and a link with instructions for tracking your item.
All large items are shipped via Hunter Express which can be tracked here (http://www.hunterexpress.com.au/home) if you have been provided a consignment number.
If your address includes a level please ensure you provide us with the company name or building name. If your company or building name is not provided, this may result in the delivery of your order being delayed.
Products classified as large goods such as kayaks other goods over 5kg cubic can, in some instances attract high shipping costs particularly when transported to regional towns or long distances across Australia.
In the instance where Freight cost is unexpectedly higher than the freight charge generated via the website automated system, Freak Sports has the right to vary the shipping charge and advise the customer of the new price. In this case the customer has the right to accept the new price and pay the difference in freight or cancel their order in which case FSA will issue the customer with full refund.
All orders being shipped via our Click & Collect service or otherwise to a selected depot will be dispatched via Hunter Express.

SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY
The Freak Sports Shipping method is strictly “Signature Required” to ensure your parcel is delivered to you with minimal delay and any risk of loss. If you are not home at the time the delivery reaches your address, the driver will leave a card advising the location of the nearby Australia Post facility that we’ve sent your parcel to.
To collect your parcel, simply take your card, proof of identity (with your signature), and proof of address to the Post Office listed on your card. If you’re planning to send someone else to collect the item on your behalf, remember to fill out the agent authorisation on the card.
To avoid this situation, we highly advise you to have your parcel sent to your work address or other suitable daytime delivery address to ensure that someone is available to accept the delivery. If your address includes a level please ensure you provide us with the company name.
Freak Sports Australia doesn’t offer free returns under our current policy. As part of our services, we do offer RETURN service for fixed fee $13 per article of any size. For this service please fill in the Returns Form.RETURNS FORM
Once you receive a label, please attach it to the parcel and take it to the nearest post office or post box.
RETURN TO SENDER
For most of our parcels, in the case that the parcel is not pick up from the nearest post office, a Return to Sender fee of $10 will be charged. Australia post notifies all our customers with Email and SMS alerts if you have provided the correct details during the check out.
As part of our FREE Standard Shipping service we don’t offer shipping insurance. Insurance is offered on the check out to some zones, however to to organise shipping insurance to other zones, you must immediately contact us after your purchase and before dispatch as this is the only way we can insure your items at this stage. Our shipping suppliers have a good track record on delivering the orders and we are very pleased and comfortable sending most of the orders without any insurance.
Shipping insurance is not offered on kayak and bulky goods due to awkwardness, weight and size of the item. FSA have selected a few carriers which have a good track record delivering kayaks around the country. If the an bulky item is damaged in transport, FSA will work with freight company and customer to to achieve the best possible reasonable result in customers favour. Any damage on a bulky must be reported to FSA within 3 business days after receiving the item via email or contact form, and preferably inclusive of a few photos.
Freak Sports Australia offers two services for all the international orders, International Standard Parcel, International Express services and DHL. With these services we offer very competitive rates and to calculate a shipping price, simply add items to your cart and update your country and zip code in the shipping calculator on the cart or checkout page.
Currently we only offer returns from New Zealand and United Kingdom (UK) customers to Australia at the flat rate of $15 from New Zealand and $40 from UK. Rate might be subject change without notice.
Product(s) is classified as backorders when product(s) for which customer has paid for in an order, but FSA doesn’t physically have them in stock to be dispatched in our normal dispatch timeframe. FSA allows backers because most of the items stocked can be received within two (2) to five (5) business days and dispatched the same day the item is received. Common reasons for backorders:
- The product(s) is purchased on backorder, will have “backorder” label under your order summary and it will have approximate shipping time frame on the listing to fulfil your request. FSA will do the very best to stick to our estimates but sometimes the delay can be beyond our control and FSA will notify you by email or phone call. If this occurs you will have the option to keep it on backorder or request a full or partial refund refund for your order.
- FSA is currently out of stock due to stock variation in physical stock.
- The product has sold in FSA retail store or another channel before the order was picked as our system allows for backorders across all of our channels.
During the wet season, deliveries to Northern Queensland and other parts of the country may be affected by adverse weather conditions, local expected and unexpected events. In this event, deliveries may take longer than our usual time frame. You can also expect longer than usual dispatch and delivery windows between the dates of 24th December 2014 and 5th January due to Christmas and New Year public holidays. Accordingly, please accept our apologies for any delays with you order.
