The Obsidian Trousers pack down incredibly small and weigh next to nothing, so you will barely notice they’re sitting in the bottom of your pack. But when they’re needed, they are extremely waterproof and breathable, just like your traditionally heavier and bulkier work-horse rain layer. Unlike a lot of back-up style rain-wear, the Obsidian was designed with all the important features you still need including an athletic cut and key pockets. These trousers pack down tiny into their own thigh pocket when not in use so they can disappear into the bottom of your pack.

HYDRAFUSE™ TECHLITE™ FABRIC
The new HYDRAFUSE™ TECHLITE™ outer fabric is extremely packable. The HYDRAFUSE™ TECHLITE™ membrane has a strong but light construction making for extremely packable, waterproof and breathable fabric. The laminated internal backing layer is made from a polyester construction which is durable and light.
It has an incredible hydrostatic pressure waterproof rating of 25,000mm, and a 10,000gm/m2/24hrs breathability rating. The HYDRAFUSE™ TECHLITE™ is treated with an advanced PFC-free durable water repellent finish.
FULL-LENGTH SIDE ZIPS
These over-trousers have grunty, full-length zips up the sides so you can pull them on or off straight over the top of your boots and gaiters.
DUAL SIDE ZIPS
The two zippers running down the sides of these outer-layer pants provide easy access to the pockets in the layer underneath, as well as operate as ventilation openings when things heat up.
ARTICULATED KNEES
Articulated knees form a more comfortable fit, and allow extra movement when kneeling down and climbing steep terrain.
