Viking Profish 400 Fishing Kayak

As with all Viking Profish range of kayaks the 400 comes rudder ready meaning if you prefer a rudder it’s an easy addition, no drilling required. The rudder will give greater directional control in situations like drifting or running with the river, paddling across current or wind and in the surf or wind chop. The advantages of the Viking angler rudder being flush with the keel is you are less likely snag on lines or weed and reduces the chance of damage to the rudder.

The top deck of the Profish 400 has been extremely well thought out, starting with the ample rod storage options both in front and behind making it easy to set the cockpit to suit the style of fishing that you’re doing. Casting, trolling or setting baits for a drift this cockpit makes it easy to do them all. The kayak comes standard with brass inserts on the bow for the easy tool-less addition of RAILBLAZA StarPort HD mounts & accessories like adjustable rods holders, camera mounts, fishfinder mounts and more.

The central storage well is big enough for tackle, sounder batteries and more, comes standard with the practical lid which includes the cutting board. Upgrading to the removable Tackle Pod will not only increase the amount of gear you can carry but make it easy to “load and go”. Whether its packing the day before or unpacking from a trip, simply leave everything in the removable Tackle Pod load in the car and go.

The rear storage well is massive making it easy manage fish storage, easily install any of the 3 Profish storage items, Chill Pod, Insulated Bag or Insulated cover. The Chill Pod (which is also insulated) is a great modular load and go hard shell storage solution much like the Tackle Pod making packing and unpacking easier with added bonus of being easy to clean and not mix fishy stuff with your other gear. The insulated fish bag or cover a great if you prefer a lighter solution on bigger paddling days with the ability to contain larger pelagic fish.
