Expect lots of bend in your rod

I will start by saying that if you want a durable soft plastic, the Keitech range is not for you. In comparison to some of the "tough" plastics on offer, these artificial baits are very soft and easy to lose to an aggressive fish. Weedless rigging is a sure recipe for a destroyed plastic, as you typically don't have a lot of hook inserted in the plastic and they will rip easily. However, there is a simple solution, as a couple of drops of super glue in appropriate locations dramatically increase the odds of the plastic staying on your jighead. If you are rigging weedless, be careful not to glue the hook end of the jighead, as you need that to move freely and expose itself when it is struck by a fish. The soft material is extremely life-like and gives the Keitechs incredible action in the water. These are by far the best plastics on the market when the fishing gets tough, as finicky fish cannot seem to resist them. I've used all of the sizes between 2 inch and 6.5 inch and they all catch fish. The best indicator of a great product is when a fish will hit the same lure over and over again. I recently had a tussle with a massive grouper, which managed to defeat me a total of eight times. Seven of those times, the fish came back and hit the same Keitech 6.5 inch Easy Shiner. On the last occasion, frustrated with not managing to land it, I cast a Keitech Flapper Grub, aiming for a flathead to ease my frustration. Moments later, the same grouper monstered that lure as well. Don't waste your time smearing these with your favourite scent. The plastics are lightly scented from the pack and most of the squeeze-on scents don't adhere. The scent may assist a small amount, but it is the amazing action on these products which attract the fish, so gimmicks are not necessary. Just remember the super glue, as not only will it reduce the number you lose initially, but you can make some simple repairs and get the lure back into the water. These are great plastics, but be prepared to lose a few. As most of the losses will also bring you a fish, you will love fishing with Keitech.
