What an awesome weekend of fishing at the Moreton Bay Classic! We are so proud to support this excellent fishing tournament run by Australian Fishing Online, giving away our best seller kayak package the Assassin fishing kayak – forest camo to one lucky door prize winner.
With over 50 competitors on the water, the angler of the day and the lucky winner was Shane Safeel with a catch of 3.8m, with Kris Sweres and Bill Patterson coming in second and third respectively.
The Freak captain and crew were out in force showing off our fishing kayak range and taking on lookers for test paddles.
A tasty sausage sizzle was also put on by the cute Freak crew, with proceeds going to our beloved friends at Volunteer Marine Rescue Raby Bay.
For those who dared to be eaten by a shark, our roving shark head was on hand for a bit of fun and laughter.
With the wind, rain and sun all fighting for supreme throughout the morning, it was finally time to announce the winner of the Freak Kayak Package lucky door prize.
Congratulations to Darren Harvey who will surely spend many days and nights paddling and fishing solo but also with his beautiful family.
