Meet our first field staff member Jon Williams

My name is Jon Williams and I am 26 years old, 6 foot tall and weigh 95kg. I am a born and bred Queenslander, grew up on the Sunshine Coast. My favourite fishing is kayak fishing for fresh water natives like bass and saratoga with the hope of getting a nice and fat Mary River Cod to chasing some of the more elusive estuary species like the big jewie and big red dogs that are like nothing else (jacks). Then the fast action and line peeling fun of palagics like trevally and queenies, anything that hits a lure hard then wants to rip your arms off.

The gear I love for the kayak is my little diawa generation black rods in the 1.5 -3kg called the itchy twitchy with Shimano stradic Ci4 1000 size reels then out of the boat I use diawa sol with stradic Ci4 2500 reels and my diawa T3 baitcast and gen black cranky 4-9kg rod to match and always have a Z Man tied to the end of my line
